Today we announced the Local Impact Stream of the Building Communities Strong Fund, investing $1B over 4 years for community infrastructure.
Northern Ontario communities will benefit from $39 million in federal infrastructure funding that will be delivered through FedNor. This is going to help communities build, repair, and upgrade the places and spaces that families and people rely on every day. Just like this place that has so many memories built into the fabric of the incredible history of the Canada Games Complex.
This will support 42,000 jobs every year and drive economic growth in Northern Ontario, and across the country.
